This hits so hard, I’m so very sad right now. I first met Ray when I interviewed for “Clash of the Titans” but really got to know him through the work we did on the Marvel movies. Ray encouraged me enormously and gave me so much confidence in my abilities he really was a great mentor and boss and over the years we became firm friends, staying in regular contact whilst he was off living the dream in America. We used to say to each other “you only get one life, you’ve got to live it” and he really did. My thoughts are with his family right now, knowing how much he loved them and how happy he was to get off early on a Friday to get back to Wales and see them, my heart breaks for them all. I’m so sorry. I was at Shepperton today and there’s a little area round the back of the workshops where he and I tested the Bi-Frost on Thor 2 the pattern is still there and I remember we ran back to the office after as we thought we’d get told off by the studio for damaging the tarmac. That pattern is still there and I’ll think of him every time I see it. I’ll never forget my friend Ray and will miss his voice saying “Matey” Thank you for everything. RIP
